passion flower
So a co-worker of mine kept telling me about this mystery plant that his sister had at her house that he took a sample of and forgot about during the winter in his shed. A few days ago he showed me pictures of what he called "eggs" and yesterday described how they had "hatched" into these mysterious fragrant flowers. To further peak my curiosity, he brought a flower to work. The smell was amazing. I began researching and found that in fact it was a passiflora incornata and to my delight he brought me one! It looks like a weed right now, but I plan on training it around my arbor as it can grow to 30 feet. Pretty amazing!
